Sophie Thomson is the driving force behind our Mediation services. She has more than twenty years of experience as a Legal Practitioner and is also a partner in the family's grazing property. This background has led her to come to the conclusion that the settlement of problems by early intervention through mediation is the best way to solve the differences between people. Mediation is the most cost-effective means of settling problems. Mediation is the future!
Mediation gives a controlled environment to solve problems between parties. Through the process of mediation, participants hold the power to resolve their conflict.
Sophie is a member of the Resolution Institute and since 2015 holds National Accreditation. In 2018, she was appointed to the Law Society's Family Law Settlement Service Panel and was admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in 1997. She has gained experience working across various jurisdictions and has developed a special interest in rural clients and their needs.
Sophie’s main focus in her practice is her clients and the various needs of each individual. Her particular interests in mediation are succession problems, family issues and communication issues in the workplace. Her diversity of knowledge allows diversity of practice which is nothing but beneficial to you as her client.
Sophie’s patience and ability to communicate openly with clients and a straight forward approach to practice means that you will always get a confident and direct answer.
